Invisible or contrasting, some models of indoor stairs can be the element that gives balance to your decor in a subtle way or, on the contrary, they can be the protagonists.
Ideas on how to choose responsibly
Don’t be enchanted by the particular appearance of the internal stairs. Before definitively opting for a model, consider these aspects:
a.Materials used: wood, metal or concrete
Pay attention, in particular, to the durability of the materials and their cost in the overall budget. Stairs with unique materials can quickly eat up your interior design budget. Before investing, make sure you understand what these materials entail: how durable they are and how they can best be maintained. Whether we are talking about wood, metal, concrete or mixed together.
B. The space occupied – be carefulÞthat is, at the spaÞrestrict them
Some models of indoor stairs are beautiful, but you need to carefully analyze the space and how the staircase can be arranged. Depending on this, you can opt for a spiral staircase, which takes up less space, a staircase with closed climbs, a staircase with open climbs or a mixed configuration.

C. BABULDA DIN: Wood, wrought iron or glass: safety first and foremost
The more minimalist it is, the greater the risk of accidents. For example, some models of internal stairs do not have railings, which certainly gives them an interesting look, but they are not a right option for anyone. If you have children, pets or elderly people with mobility problems at home, avoid these models without railings and opt for a wooden, wrought iron or glass railing.
1. Open waste with side rails and glass parapets

Although the model and materials used in the construction of the staircase are classic in themselves, the glass railing gives it an essentialist look. Because of the bottle, at first glance, the staircase appears to have no railing. When achieving the essentialist effect, the fact that the staircase is open and that the space under the staircase is not used also contributes. However, this can represent a disadvantage in the case of homes where space is limited.
2. Modern interior stairs: wood and metal accents
These modern interior staircase models have the advantage of not taking up much space, but they look solid and masculine. The first part is a staircase with a closed lateral Vang, where only the wood is visible, and then continues with an open staircase with a central Vang, to which the wood is combined with metal accents. The use of materials and colors in the rest of the room contributes to the unique effect, and a modern accent is given by the LED applications positioned both around the staircase and in the rest of the room.
3. Semi-pluing or suspended stairs
A trend to note in interior design is the so-called “hanging stairs” or “hanging stairs”. Sometimes they are also encountered under the name “suspended ladders” – those ladders that have hidden attachments, being fixed directly into the brickwork. These can be made of solid wood, metal or even concrete or natural stone. In this case the steps are made of wood, but are not arranged completely individually, with a metal connecting element between them.
4. Open ladder with central vang
The lack of railing and the exclusive use of wood can have a minimalist effect. As in the case of this open staircase, with Central Vang, which completes an interior design based on white and cream. Their unique positioning, in front of a window positioned at the full height of the room, also contributes to the special effect of the stairs.
5. Spiral stairs: metal or wood

Spiral staircases can be much more economical in terms of space, compared to other designs. In this case the metal was painted with delicate colors and the steps clad in wood. And the furniture related to the relaxation space was positioned as close as possible to the staircase, achieving an intimate yet dynamic effect.
6. Mixed stairs: floating and classic
Junctions between different types of stairs can have interesting effects. In this case the staircase is a mix between a wooden floating staircase and a classic floating staircase, with a lateral, closed Verg. The modern look is due to the glass panel, accompanied by a mirror placed nearby.
